Here we are praying in colour.  Every Thursday we do this.  The children have to think of someone that they want to pray for then they write their name on the page and let their crayon go for it while listening to some relaxing, spiritual music.  A very relaxing, special way to start our day.

A few weeks ago we read a story about Papa's Donuts.  At the back of the book was the recipe!  We just had to make some to try.  So we made donuts at golden time on Friday last week with the help of Mrs Murray.  They were yummy.

Here is the recipe........
4 cups of flour
1cup of warm water
2 Tlb yeast
11/2  cups of coconut milk
1/2 cup of sugar
pinch of salt
oil for deep frying

Put flour, water and yeast into bowl.  Add coconut milk, sugar and salt.  Mix dough lightly and fold into a ball.  You may need to add more flour.  Let it sit for 2hours.  Cut into pieces and shape into balls, shaping the donut holes at the same time.  Heat oil in a fryer or large pot.  cook a few at a time until golden brown.  Drain on paper towels.  Dip into sugar/cinnamon if you want (we did). Eat!!!

After our cultural concert, we had to make some butterflies (purerehua).  We used our footprints to make the wings and it tickled!

Well apparently the video can't be viewed on an apple device!!! Arrrgh! So I have pasted a link below which takes you straight to you tube.  If this doesn't work just copy and paste into your address bar or type in 'room 4's amazing video' into you tube's search bar.

Hay everyone, with the cultural concert fast approaching we need all costumes at school asap.  All the Brigidines need is a pair of shorts in a named plastic bag please.  Thanks.
Here is a video of Room 4 that two of our senior students made using their ICT skills.  We had previously done this "Happy" dance in assembly last term and had to share it with everyone who missed it!  Nice video bombing Mr Wheeler!
